Ocean Kicks Howell Out of Quarterfinals

The Shore Conference playoffs of the boys soccer tournament had the Spartans of Ocean hosting the Rebels of Howell, Saturday morning. Ocean entered the tournament as the second seeded team in the Shore Conference.

Neptune High School Athletes Win Sportsmanship Award

For the fourth time in as many years, Neptune High School has won a sportsmanship award for its athletic programs.
The Scarlet Fliers first won an award for sportsmanship in conjunction with winning the state championship tournament for boys basketball in 2001-2002.

Registered Sex Offender Indicted for Kidnapping

A Monmouth County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against a convicted sex offender for aggravated sexual assault, kidnapping, terroristic threats and criminal restraints stemming from an incident May 20 in Asbury Park and Neptune.

Ocean Man Arrested For Theft, Burglary

An Ocean Township man was arrested and charged with burglary Oct. 24 after police said they found him in the laundry room at Twinbrook Apartments trying to force open coin boxes.
