What was your most memorable Christmas?

Jim & Leslie Keady, Asbury Park
Wed say three years ago when I proposed to Leslie on Christmas Day and she accepted.
We were married in Sept. 2003. Weve been living in Asbury Park happily ever after.

Martha Bonavita, Ocean
With my grandmother and grandfather who immigrated from Italy with the traditional food – and lots of family, food and family together.
Since the grandparents are no longer here our Christmases have changed drastically.

Patti Delaney, Oakhurst
When I was a kid. I remember one year when my mother took a turkey out of the oven, it slipped off the pan and slid across the kitchen floor.

Eddie Falzarano, Ocean Grove
When I got a brand new car – 5 years ago. A Chrysler Seabring.
Now, I have a truck.

Loretta Parker w/Yashee, Asbury Park
It was 1976. I had a little girl, Yashee Parker. She was a bicentennial baby. I tried to have her on the 4th of july. I had her on the 6th.
It was her first Christmas. Now I have another little girl.

Debbie Zabilowicz, Belmar
As a little girl, my grandfather would decorate the tree and we were not allowed to see the tree until we woke up on Christmas morning.
It had amazing lights with tinsel put on one at a time and presents piled up waist high.
Poppy did all of it on Christmas eve.
In the morning we waited for him to get up and turn on the tree. We all waited for him.
We didnt see any of it until he was there.
It was magnificent.

Fred Martucci & Sandra DeMichele, Allenhurst
Fred: One Christmas when I received a lump of coal in my stocking. I thought that it would be my worst Christmas until I found all the presents from my parents in gift boxes. And most recently the sudden passing on my younger brother Nunzio, who, at the age of 48 passed away Christmas 2001.
Sandra: My most memorable Christmas was experiencing the joy of having my 2 children, parents, and brothers all together for a true family Christmas. And my recent one was having my first Christmas with Fred.

Tedi Ramseur w/Max, Asbury Park
I guess 2 years ago when I came back from California. I stayed with my mother and we did everything together. We decorated, cooked, shopped, hung out and went to church.
We did it all together, then she went with the Lord.
That was our last Christmas together.
