Neptune Senior Claims Title in 60 Meter Hurdles

Cory Nelms of Neptune High School recently won the 2006 National Indoor championship in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 7.90 seconds at the New York City Armory.
Nelms, a senior, out-sprinted competitors from around the country to capture the title.
Two Asbury Park men were indicted for the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man last November.
On Monday a Monmouth County Grand Jury indicted Asbury Park residents Jerrell Moore, 27, and Michael Hostler, 27, for the murder of Jerry Jules, 22, on November 25, 2005.

Ocean Township police are investigating a burglary and theft from a construction trailer located at a site on West Park Avenue in the Wayside section of town. The theft occurred sometime over the weekend.

Barbara Muzychka of Neptune is still collecting items for the homeless, just not at her house.
An agreement was reached at Tuesdays meeting of the Neptune Township Housing Authority for items collected by Muzychka for Trinity Church, Asbury Park, to be dropped at alternate locations.
A 19 year-old male from Marlton, was arrested March 21 on Roosevelt Avenue in Ocean Township for possession of alcohol under the age of 21. Sgt. Thomas Burke was the arresting officer.

A Middletown man was arrested March 21 in Ocean Township and charged with possession of heroin.
