Avon Police Blotter

On August 6 Avon Det. Timothy McGrath took the report of a theft of a hat from Garfield and Ocean Avenues, which had Avon pool and beach badges fastened to it. The hat was later recovered, but the badges had been removed.

Also on August 6 Police Officer John Riley took the report of a stolen skateboard, which had been left unattended on Woodland Avenue. The board is a Fiber Flex long board with orange wheels.

Neptune resident Richard Costa, Jr., 26, was arrested August 2 at the PNC Bank for criminal forgery, after attempting to withdraw money illegally. Capt. V.T. Magrini was the arresting officer.

Police Officer Michael F. Haar took the report of a beach bag, containing a cell phone and MP3 player, being taken sometime during the day on July 30.
