Ocean Police Investigate Home, Store Burglaries

Ocean Township police are investigataing two burglaries over the last week, one of which took place in a home where the resident was there sleeping.

On Aug. 13 officers responded to an alarm activation at the EB Games store on Route 66 at 4:20 a.m.

Upon arrival Police Officer James Skripko and Sgt. Wayne Stewart found the glass window had been smashed out of the front door. The burglar stole several hundred dollars worth of electric games.

On Aug. 14 Police Officer Jack Piantanida investigated a burglry at a home on Harnell Avenue.

The resident said he was home sleeping between 7 and 9 a.m. and during that time someone entered his home and stole cash and numerous music CDs.

There was no forced entry and the victm did not see or hear anyone.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 531-1800.
