Neptune City Increases Members to Rec Board

One of the busiest volunteer organizations in Neptune City is getting bigger.
A rising number of programs and more participation have prompted the Borough Council to expand the Board of Recreation Commissioners by two members, to seven. Council adopted an amendment to allow Mayor Thomas Arnone to select the new members.

A Neptune City man was arrested and charged with theft from a Boston Road residence Jan. 9.
Police said William Lundsteen, 24, was arrested by Det. James Isacson.
On Jan. 11 a 49-year-old Neptune City woman was charged with disorderly conduct at the Charline Motel. Police Officer Bradley Hindes made the arrest.

Woman Arrested For Illegally Obtaining Drugs

An Atlantic Highlands woman was arrested Jan. 15 and charged with fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs.
Police said Melissa Bader, 35, using the name Ann Ericksen at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Shrewsbury Avenue, Tinton Falls, became disorderly after a prescription for Vicodin was not filled properly. She fled the store before police got there.

Palace photo booth being readied for eventual return to Asbury Park

Asbury Park’s famous photo booth, sold to Vermont shop owners after more than three decades of operations at Palace Amusements and at a Boardwalk attraction, has been donated to Save Tillie and is being refurbished for eventual return to the city.
