The Question Is…

What are you doing to curtail Global Warming?

Dennis & Jane Eagan, Sea Girt and Mindy Cohen & Beth Eagan, Oakhurst

Were all doing our part. After seeing An Inconvenient Truth we changed the light bulbs in the home.

We are looking into changing the heating system in the pool to solar.

You can pay more to JCP&L to guarantee your energy comes from a greener source.

Robert & Dana Maulshagen, Neptune

When our cars conks out, we plan to buy a hybrid.

Were not doing all that much to help, but were not doing all that much to hurt.

We both live close to work. We got an energy efficient furnace.

Louis & Beverly Rodriguez, Asbury Park

Were very aware of global warming. We saw An Inconvenient Truth with Al Gore. After we watched that, we want to do a lot more.

Were thinking of our children and grandchildren. Well do whatever we can.

Julie Brain & Alana Siers, Tinton Falls

Were roommates and to be completely honest we have not taken any steps to help with global warming.

If we are informed as to how we could make some changes for the better, wed be happy to do that.

David Jacobs, Toms River & Archie Somerville, Ocean Grove

David: I buy energy efficient appliances. I dispose of batteries properly. I dispose of toxic products correctly.

Archie: i put energy efficient bulbs in the house. i buy eco-friendly products.

I use less detergent in the washing machine.

I read where it is better to take your car to the car wash because they recycle the water and the run-off doesnt go into the gutter.

Ed Romero, Bronx

I dont buy aerosol. i actually recycle. i try to work with nature. The less that we pollute, the less chance we have for global warming. As information is made available, Ill adjust.

Vanette Simmons, Asbury Park

I do recycle bottles, cans and newspapers. I dont like litter. I put things in the proper place.

I walk if its close.

Robert Simmons, Wall

Im a lobbyist for an insurance company. I prepare the state for catrastropies, to get ahead of these storms that are headed to the east coast.

We also educate communities on disaster preparedness and how to recover from a disaster.

Also, we educate builders at the shore to build strong enough to withstand storms.

Alan Baker, Ocean Grove

Im a green builder. Im building energy efficient homes, that are environmentally friendly. Solar and energy efficient mechanicals, geo thermal heat pumps – in short, we design and build homes that dont require a lot of energy.
