American Dream Rock n Roll Band at Asbury Lanes in City

The Portland, Oregon-based band the Young Immortals is scheduled to bring their own brand of rock and roll to the Asbury Lanes Aug. 3.

The band is currently touring across the country to promote their debut album, When History Meets Fiction.

Their independently booked tour features 45 gigs in 26 states over the period of 59 days.

In December of last year, The Young Immortals competed against nine other bands at the Rockstar Energy Drink Battle of the Bands at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon.

In April of this year a Starbucks compilation CD titled Off the Clock: Vol 1 was released in over 6,500 Starbucks Coffeehouses across North America and featured The Young Immortals hit song, The Fever.

The compilation has resulted in a spike in their popularity both in Portland and across the country. The Fever has been played on pop, rock, alternative, and even some talk radio stations in Portland. The band receives dozens of e-mails per day from strangers from across the country who have heard The Fever at Starbucks Coffeehouses.

The band is quick to note they are honored to have been included on the Starbucks compilation (all the profits go to charity), however, they want to point out they are not a corporate sponsored band and are not even signed to a label. They are a pull yourself up by your bootstraps band in search of their American Dream.
