BarryNeptune Students Collect Food for Local Pantry
Students at the Neptune Intermediate School collected non-perishables recently for baskets which were distributed to the needy.

BarryFestival of Lights and Trees
Coaster Photo: Volunteers helped decorate trees in the Steinbach building in Asbury Park last week in preparation for First Saturday Night and the Festival of Lights. More than two dozen trees are currently on display in the windows of the building. The tree pictured is being festooned with reels of film in recognition of the Garden State Film Festival held in Asbury Park each spring.

BarryHoly Innocents Book Sale
Holy Innocents School in Neptune recently held a book sale with the proceeds going to help build the libraries in the classrooms. Some of the students who attended the sale included Hadley Heron, sixth grade student, Kerri Dennis, sixth grade student and Brittany Montgomery, a fifth grader.

BarryFood Donations
Gail Matarazzo and Sandy Brown, both of Ocean Township, collect food donations in front of the Neptune ShopRite as part of the Rotary Club of Asbury Parks annual Canathon. All items collected go to the Salvation Armys food pantry for distribution during the holiday season.

Assisting at the recent luncheon of the James F. Ackerman Federation to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center were members Karen Thompson (left), Wall Township and Jean Ridner, Neptune.

BarryTree Decorating
Pictured from left to right from Coastal Habitat for Humanity are: Gary Kilmer, Maureen Mulligan, and Mark Moreau decorating trees for the 501C Trees sponsored by the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce. The trees have been decorated by local non-profits and are on display in the Steinbach building windows throughout the month of December.

Coaster Photo: The Neptune Library is sponsoring an Angel Tree, Adopt-A-Child program until Dec. 15. Patrons can take a tag and buy a gift for a child. Gifts are due back by Dec. 15. Pictured are Childrens Librarian Cheryl Otten and Librarian Assistant Dina Crenshaw.

BarrySalvation Army Thanksgiving Dinner
Coaster Photo: The Salvation Army in Asbury Park hosted a Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 21 for those who may not have had one. Members of the city police department, in addition to other volunteers, helped serve. More than 500 people attended.
