The Question Is…

What do you think of baseballs steroid report?

I think it stated the obvious.

You see guys bulk up very quickly. Obviously there is some assistance involved.

If it is proven that they took steroids and theyre still playing – they should be terminated.

Thats what happens in the real world.

Its a bad situation. Bad for the kids. Bad for the players. Bad for the game.

Better if they didnt have any at all. Now they should be stripped from the record books.

Players who used them should be fined and put on probation.

I think everything is a little bit too late. They cant go back 10 years or so and try to go after those guys. Its too little too late now.

They need to start fresh with new strict rules. Test them off season, before the season starts, during the season.

Let them know if they get caught its 2 year suspension without pay.

I was a big Barry Bonds fan. Now a lot of players are going to have to go through what he went through.

I look at it as entertainment. Its sports and I want to see homeruns when I watch baseball.

If they want to do drugs, well, its not hurting me, if thats what they want to do.

I think the baseball team owners knew what was going on, but it was filling up the seats so they put a blind eye to it.

When they started investigating they acted all concerned – they knew all along.

I think a cap should be put on the salaries. They try to out do each other each year, so they take the steroids. And that leads to alcohol and other drugs, when they dont feel good about themselves.

I’d rather watch college ball. They play harder and without drugs.

Big money is the root of all evil, especially in sports

I hear over and over again how they let the children down. I just dont get it. Granted Im not a big sports fan, but why are they held in such high esteem in the first place. Just because they can run fast, catch a ball, hit a ball. I dont understand why they are placed on such high moral ground to begin with.

Maybe we should steer kids more toward the intellectual as opposed to the athlete.

The report itself, we thought, was a bad report because it had a lot of hearsay in it. There wasnt any hard evidence against many of those who were named.

They just lumped them all together, which was just unfair to some of the people in the report.

Gretchen: Too little, too late. Theyve always been around.

Beth: It still takes talent to hit that ball.

Connie: Its unfortunate that theyre focusing on baseball. I think its rampant in all major sports.

And it is a little after the fact.
