Easter Luncheon![]() The Neptune City Community Center held its fifth Senior/Toddler Easter Luncheon recently. The goal was to bring the Neptune City Senior Club together with the Toddler Time parents and children to celebrate a family Easter. More than 140 attended the special luncheon. A traditional Easter fare with the addition of corned beef was catered by Brennens restaurant of Neptune City. |
Swan Boats in Peru![]() Kate Mellina (above) and Dave Christopher, Ocean Township, recently spent 12 days in the Andes Mountains of Peru, visiting remote weaving villages and exploring Machu Picchu. Among their odder discoveries was a fleet of swan and animal boats along Lake Titicaca. |
Essay Winners![]() Lance C. Golden, Jr.,(left) a sixth grade student at Our Lady Mt. Carmel School in Asbury Park won first place in the Asbury Park-Wall Elks Lodge essay contest on the topic What is an American? Rauldy Pierre, an eighth grader, took third place in the county. Both young men were congratulated and awarded certificates at a ceremony Sun., March 9. |
Green Belt Girl![]() Madison Cummins, age 5, daughter of Lori and Eddie Cummins, Neptune achieved the rank of Green Belt in karate. Madison is a student at Full Circle Do Jang Tae Kwon Do Academy in Ocean Township and is in the kindergarten class at St. Rose Elementary School in Belmar. Madison is pictured with her martial arts instructor Charles Jackson, owner and head instructor of Full Circle Do Jang Tae Kwon Do Academy. |
