Oceans Terner Gallery Features Plein Art Work
The Terner Gallery in Ocean Township is hosting an exhibit, Shoreline: A Painters View of watercolor paintings by Alexis Cuozzo, Wall, Manny Jomok, Red Bank and Deborah Redden, Fair Haven.
The exhibit will be on display during regular library hours from April 6 through May 16 at the gallery which is adjacent to the Township of Ocean Library, 601 Deal Rd.
The artists are all members of the Plein Air Painters of the Jersey Coast, a group of artists who meet outdoors at a new location each week to paint.
All have studied extensively and are award winning artists, who have had works selected for private and corporate collections.
The exhibit will open with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sun., April 6.
Admission is free, refreshments will be served.
Staff Needed for Asbury Park Beachfront 2008
Madison Marquette, Asbury Parks beachfront redeveloper, is hosting a job fair April 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Convention Hall in Asbury Park.
Positions include restaurant and bar staff, retail, event and promotional staff, parking lot attendants, pool manager and lifeguards and security staffing.
Employers include the Stone Pony, Oasis Pool Club, Tm McLoones Supper Club, the Salt Water Beach Cafe and Stella Marina.

According to a 2007 article in the Monmouth Message, a Fort Monmouth newspaper, the now-demolished restaurant was leased as a mess facility for 325 army officers housed in Asbury Park during World War II. It returned to civilian use in November, 1943. |

The Stone Pony, Asbury Park welcomes back Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers Sat.,April 5. Joe Grushecky has appeared many times at the Pony, notably as part of the annual Light of Day benefit concerts. The co-author of the Grammy Award-winning song Code of Silence, Grushecky is currently celebrating the release of Good Life – The Joe Grushecky Story. As part of the 2008 Garden State Film Festival, this documentary film will be shown at the Pony at 1:15 pm. Doors at 7:30 pm. Tickets: $20.

Asbury Park-musician Lance Larson and members of Days Awake are scheduled to perform April 11 at The Cutting Room in the Flatiron district of Manhattan. The popular bar is owned by TV star Chris Noth. Those interested in attending the show should sign up for the bus trip, which leaves The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park at 6 p.m. A pre-show party, with food, is scheduled for another bar near The Cutting Room.
