The St. Rose Grammar School Class of 1971 recently reunited at the school’s Alumni and Friends Summer Picnic held on the Belmar school grounds. BBQ Team Meets Congressman
At the Monmouth County Fair the Smokn Jersey Shorecats BBQ Team from Neptune had a surprise visit from New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith. Before the competition started, the Shorecats were entertaining friends and family with some of their Famous Pulled Pork and Smith stopped by to say hello. Smith told the team he had been reading about the team in the newspaper and told his campaign manager Martin Gillespie that he wanted to meet the team. Pictured are team members Matt Smith (left), his father, Harry, and Smith.

Salvation Army employee Alicia Munoz and her daughter, Melissa, 12, are pictured at the Asbury Park store where Munoz works six days a week. Melissa helps out by volunteering. The store no longer accepts baby items but does accept clothing, shoes, furniture and household items.
