Five players scored goals and four picked up assists as Ocean Township’s soccer team beat rival Neptune 5-0 on Monday to stay undefeated at 8-0-1 on the season.
The Spartan’s got goals from Scott Davis, Enzo Farnze, Josh Rosenhack, Jacob Rubinstein, and Neil Yaffe in front of their home crowd. Neptune’s Kevin Roddy had seven saves for Neptune, who dropped to 3-6-1 on the season.
The Spartans also went on to shut out Long Branch 3-0 in a B-North game on Tuesday to improve to 9-0-1 on season and extend their winning streak to eight straight games. With the loss Long Branch fell to an even 5-5 for the year. Ocean Township scored all of their goals in the second half, with Jacob Rubinstein contributing with a goal and an assist in the win.
