Neptune Fire Fighters Lt. Daniel Harker, Lt. Joseph Mauro and Francis Sutphin were awarded medals of valor from the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office during the annual medal day and fallen fire fighters memorial service Oct. 5 at the Keyport Fire Museum. The three fire fighters participated in the rescue of several citizens from a high rise building on Sept. 20, 2007. Pictured from left are front row, Harker, Sutphin and Mauro.
