Time for Your Flu Shot

Neptune hosted the day-long flu vaccine clinic which was sponsored by the Neptune Chamber of Commerce and Express Care. The Monmouth County Health Department will offer flu vaccinations at the Senior Center on Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon.
At the Car Wash Fund-Raiser

St. Rose Grammar School’s student council members hosted a successful car wash fund-raiser on Sat., Nov. 1, 2008. The funds raised will help the Student Council at the Belmar school pay for future activities, as well as services needed for the community and also within the school.
Steak Bake Benefit

Neptune City Mayor Thomas Arnone and Councilwoman Barbara Shafer attended a Steak Bake recently at the Neptune City Fire House. The event was a benefit for the Neptune City Republican Club. About 70 people attended
Residents Honored

William Mullaney (left) of Ocean Township and his wife, Sandy, were honored by the United Way of Monmouth County for their continued support. They are pictured with Timothy Hearne Jr., president and CEO United Way of Monmouth County. The United Way is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
At the Wine Tasting

Neptune City Mayor Thomas Arnone and Eileen Kean of Neptune attended a wine and cheese tasting event at Kelly’s Tavern Oct. 15. Funds raised, about $2,000, benefited the Community Center.
