Lights, Camera, Action! Film festival opens in Asbury Park

The man who started the British Invasion, commonly referred to as a defining moment in the cultural history of the Baby Boom generation, is coming to Asbury Park.

Sid Bernstein will be honored this weekend at the Garden State Film Festival where a documentary, “Sid Bernstein Presents,” about his life will be shown Sat., April 4 at 2:45 p.m. at the Paramount.

Bernstein is one of the many highlights of the festival which will also include a tribute to Johnny Cash with the screening of the film, “Johnny Cash at the Folsom Prison,” at the Paramount Theatre and a reception following at the Carousel building adjacent to the Casino.

The film, “The Magistical,” is scheduled to be shown at the Garden State Film Festival in Asbury Park April 2.
