Loch Arbour residents will see a 226 percent increase in their school tax rate this year after the change in a state law which increased the village’s annual school tax bill by $1.3 million.
Village residents attended Tuesday’s Ocean Township Board of Education meeting to voice their grievances about the situation and request help in remedying it.
“It’s not your fault or responsibility (that this happened). Whatever cooperation we can get from you is appreciated,” said former village President William Rosenblatt at the meeting.
