About 25 dog owners and 10 dogs braved the rainy Saturday morning weather to attend a meeting at Asbury Bark to discuss the issue of allowing dogs on Asbury Park’s boardwalk.
Until recently, dog owners say, they have walked their pets on the city’s boardwalk in the off season with little resistance. In the past few weeks, however, police have been asking owners to remove their pets from the boardwalk under threat of possible fines.
