Sometimes you just know when the time is right, and for Kathleen West that time is now. West has been teaching in Ocean Township for 40 years and has decided it is time to retire.
“My older colleagues always told me you’ll know when it’s time,” she said. “And they were right.”
West, who started teaching in Ocean in 1969, said although the kids are still “great” the routine has just become too much.
