City Parking Rules Retooled, Ready for Introduction May 6

Argument over residential permits persists

The Asbury Park City Council and the subcommittee on parking have come to agreement on most aspects of a paid parking plan scheduled to be in place on the city’s beachfront June 1.

The majority of the committee’s recommendations, which were reviewed by city professionals, were accepted by council with only minor changes. There remains some discontent, however, over residential parking permits however.
