To save or not to save Tillie? That is the question being asked over the iconic image preserved by Bruce Springsteen fans from the Palace Amusements building in Asbury Park.
Gary Mottola, the chief operating officer for boardwalk redeveloper Madison Marquette, said he believes money can be better spent on more worthy preservation projects in Asbury Park.
Save Tillie, a non-profit group co-founded by Bob Crane, said it believes beachfront redevelopers are 1,000 days in default for not properly preserving the images.
