Ocean Township property owners will see a 1.79-cent increase in their municipal tax rate under the 2009 budget adopted by the Township Council at its Monday meeting.
“We have been dealing with tremendous pressures on this year’s budget,” said Township Administrator Andrew Brannen.
The total $31,505,551 budget, up from $30,219,729 last year, had a $17,397,123 tax levy, up from $16,458,153 last year.
