Benefit Planned for Asbury Park Harmonica Player

A benefit for Asbury Park musician and Vietnam veteran Billy Lilley is scheduled for Paul’s Tavern in Lake Como Sun., July 26.

Lilley, who is a well known harmonica player in the shore area, has liver cancer. He is currently on the liver donor transplant list and it is anticipated that the transplant will be within six months.

The 57-year-old and his wife, Theresa of 35 years, have been residents of Asbury Park for 23 years. They are founding members of the Jersey Shore Jazz Blues Foundation and have dedicated many years to working to build a better community through non-profits at the shore such as: Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation and ABATE, a non-partisan legislative organization that represents the interests of the over 165,000 registered motorcyclists in New Jersey.
