First grade students at Ocean Township Elementary School made it official last week.
The letters Q and U were joined in “matrimony forever” by Mayor William Larkin at a ceremony replete with paper wedding bell centerpieces, cake and dancing.
After students marched into the cafeteria, the girls holding Q and the boys holding U, Larkin proceeded to marry the two letters who he said will be forever joined to make words such as quiet, quest, queen, quarter and quilt.
