Ocean Township Police Officer Thomas Thompson (right) received the Exceptional Service Award and the Life Saving Award at the Ocean Township Police Department’s Awards Ceremony held in May. He recently retired in April of this year after 30 years of service with the Ocean Township. He was presented the awards by Lt. Earl Gifford (left).
Ocean Township police officers were recognized for distinguished service at an awards ceremony held at the English Manor in Ocean Township in May.
The awards were issued to officers who went above and beyond the call of duty during incidents and cases that occurred in 2008.
Distinguished Service Award went to Officer Douglas Willms.
