Court Refuses to Stop Village Tax Bills

Loch Arbour’s attempt to obtain an injunction against a $1.3 million state-imposed school tax increase, effective July 1, was rejected by a Superior Court judge on Tuesday.

Superior Court Judge Thomas W. Cavanagh Jr. rejected the village’s suit to have an injunction imposed on the increase.

While not granting the injunction, the judge ordered a short discovery period and a hearing for the matter on Oct. 1.
