Gary Engelstad was elected president of the Bradley Beach Borough Council at its reorganization meeting July 1.
He was nominated by Councilman Hal Cotler.
Only three of the five council members were able to attend the daytime meeting, with Mayor Julie Schreck, Cotler and Engelstad voting in favor of the move.
According to Borough Administrator Gail O’Reilly all of the standing professional appointments were carried over into the new year.
