Neptune residents living near a proposed Lowe’s home improvement center said Tuesday that they intend to fight a plan to build the facility at the intersection of Route 66 and Green Grove Road.
About 40 Neptune residents, from various areas of the township, gathered at the American Legion hall on Gully Road to discuss a site plan currently before the Neptune Planning Board to build a Lowe’s home improvement center near residential and school areas of Route 66.
The next Planning Board meeting on the application is Aug. 19
The Lowe’s project includes a 125,000-square-foot home center, a 4,500-square-foot bank, and a 25,000-square foot retail center. The project will replace the existing CNA corporate park.
