Family and friends of the late James E. Pemberton Jr. will be holding their annual fund-raiser to benefit the James E. Pemberton Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund Aug. 30.
Pemberton was a lifelong resident of Ocean Township. He was a 1999 graduate of the Ocean Township High School where he played defensive end for the Ocean Township Spartans football team.
He was also an active member of the Wanamassa Fire Company and First-Aid Squad, serving as 2nd Assistant Fire Chief at the time of his death at the age of 26 in 2006. (more…)
