Jerry Hauselt, a former Avon mayor and member of the Fire Department and First Aid Squad for nearly 50 years, was recognized by the Avon Board of Commissioners Monday night for his lifelong devotion and commitment to the borough.
The commissioners dedicated the Washington Avenue Gazebo to Hauselt, who graduated from Avon Grammar school in 1953 and lived in the borough until five years ago and said he “still can’t figure out why I moved.” (more…)
