Neptune City School Officials Say New Addition to be Ready

Thomas Campbell, who is beginning his first year as the top administrator at the Woodrow Wilson School in Neptune City is hoping that all new construction on the school will be completed before school starts.
We are just finishing up construction, were hoping to have everything finished and move the kids into the new rooms at the start of school, he said this week.
The school had been undergoing an expansion as well as renovations of the existing building for several years.
Campbell, who has been in the district for nine years, said its been a busy summer.

The Avagliano family, which includes residents of Neptune and Neptune City, gathered at the Oceanview Bakery in Long Branch recently to celebrate a visit by seven family members from Italy. Half of the members stayed with Carmela West in Neptune City and the other half at Lea Tallarios home in Ocean Township.

Neptune City Police Seek Armed Robber

Neptune City police released this sketch of a man they say robbed an Avon man, threatening him with a gun.Police in Neptune City have released a sketch of a man they believe robbed a 74-year-old Avon man the afternoon of June 21 after threatening him with a gun as the victim left a check cashing business.

Police responded to the business on West Sylvania Avenue and determined that the Avon man was robbed of cash as he was leaving the business.
