Neptune High School’s girls lacrosse team had a key win over the highly competitive Red Bank Regional squad on Monday, May 4. Shamara McKenzie scored with just about two minutes left in regular play, and sent the game into overtime. Then in overtime, Johana Merry scored two goals to secure the win. Paige Knee has 12 saves during the game, and kept RBR scoreless for the last four minutes in overtime.
RBR is one of the toughest teams in B North, so it was a big win for Neptune, who is new to the division. The eight seniors that Neptune will graduate this year have been with the program from the start. (more…)
