Lobster Fest Opens July 12 in Bradley Beach

  The Annual Bradley Beach Lobster Fest, the biggest fund-raising event of the Bradley Beach Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13. The event will include more than two dozen local food stands, 100 and craft and specialty booths, children’s rides and live music. A main performer this year will be the Pat Roddy Band. Lobster Fest is held on the oceanfront promenade. It will open each day at 11 a.m. and close 9 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday. This year the servers at the beer garden will be members of the fire…

  ROCCO – Meet Rocco! A super handsome and incredibly devoted Bull Mastiff / Pitbull mix, 5-years-old who has been abandoned by his owners. This big boy weighs in around 120 lbs, but should weigh somewhere around 150 lbs. Poor Rocco has been shuffled around recently and is feeling a little lost. Rocco is currently in a very small kennel and needs to find his forever home very quickly. He is fully house trained and an absolute dream on the leash. Breakfast Fund-Raiser for Asbury Parade

  A Lucky Leprechaun breakfast fund-raiser to benefit the Asbury Park St.Patrick’s Day Parade is scheduled for Sun., Feb. 23 at Kim Marie’s Eat and Drink Away on Kingsley Street from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. Tickets for the breakfast are $10 and can be purchased at the door. In addition, raffle tickets to win one of three trips to Ireland, sponsored by Celtic Tours and Excel Travel, will be available for purchase at $20 each. Tinton Falls Welcomes New Mayor

  The Coaster will not be published next week, Thurs. Dec. 26, 2013 due to the Christmas holiday. Our office will close Fri. Dec. 19 for the holiday and reopen Mon., Dec. 30. The next issue of The Coaster, your community newspaper, will be published Friday., Jan. 3.

Realtor Jay Bernstein dies after fall from Santander building

UPDATE: A funeral will be held for Jay Andrew Bernestein Wednesday, Nov. 27 in Philadelphia, PA, his sister Judi Bernstein Goldstein has informed his Facebook followers. Additionally, a memorial service is being planned for next week in Asbury Park. The Coaster will post details as soon as they become available. Asbury Park realtor Jay Bernstein of The Conover Agency fell to his death this morning, Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 from The Santander building, at Deal Lake Drive and Park Avenue in the city, where he owned a penthouse apartment on the ninth floor. Allenhurst Woman Directs Movie About Zombies

  By ED SALVAS About 250 people filled a theater at the Clearview Cinema in the Middlebrook Plaza, Ocean Township recently for a screening of a new horror film, “Demon Hunters – Fear the Silence.” The audience was mostly members of the cast and crew and their families and friends anxious to see themselves, or someone they know, on the big screen.
