The Asbury Park Historical Society invites all APHS members and those interested in becoming members, to the Asbury Park Historical Society Membership Night at the Stephen Crane House, 508 Fourth Ave., on Thurs., May 2, at 7 pm.
“The AP Historical Society has lots of updates to share and welcomes the input and engagement of its membership as we move forward with our 2019 activities,” Trustee Kay Harris said.
Attendees will be formally introduced to each of the APHS Committee Chairs and will have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the APHS Committees of their choosing.
Historical Society President Don Stine will provide a general overview of what’s ahead for 2019 while the Historical Society Committees will share the outcomes of their committee breakout sessions. Light refreshments will also be served.
In addition, attendees will be treated to a special preview of the newly-completed Stephen Crane library located on the second floor, which showcases a collection of first edition and other published works by Stephen Crane. There will be an official Open House and Tour of the library for the general public on Sat., May 4.
