The annual – and historic – Ocean Grove 4th of July Parade may have taken place on Saturday, July 5th due to the bad weather on Friday, July 4th but that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm as seen in these photos. Click on any one to start a slideshow of the parade.

Ed Whitney & Caryn Whitman, Asbury Park -  Caryn is in a play, Hairspray, at the Asbury VFW, July 11 thru 20th, the Premiere Theater group. Ed will be relaxing on the beach and doing a lot of spear fishing. Also, kayaking and competing on a Sprint triathlon.

Arnold Criscitiello, Interlaken - I still work, at 79, full time. I’ll be going to the Allenhurst Beach Club, which I’ve done for the last 50 years. I do most of the cooking for the family. When the grandkids come home from college, they come to my house.

City Police Chief to Retire
