Ocean Grove Ladies Auxiliary Launches 2016 Fund-Raising Season

  By BONNIE GRAHAM The multi-generational Ladies Auxiliary of the Ocean Grove Auditorium Ushers 2016 fundraising season is underway. On June 23 the membership attended their annual “Welcome Coffee” at the Youth Temple. The current officers and committee chairs were introduced, with many addressing the meeting attendees about their specific projects. Camp Meeting Association President Dr. Dale Whilden described the Ladies Auxiliary as “the epitome of volunteerism”, going strong for seventy-two years, and expressed his appreciation for the many improvements to Ocean Grove that have been financed through the funds raised by this organization. Ocean Grove Association Urges Opening of North End Lot

  By BONNIE GRAHAM The Ocean Grove Home Owners Association continues on with its active engagement in two “hot button” issues concerning this historic community – the ever-present parking situation, and the increase in the annual ground rent for some commercial properties. At Saturday’s membership meeting, Joyce Klein, Chair of the OGHOA’s Parking Committee, said, “The June 13 Neptune Township Committee workshop meeting did not go as we had hoped. In Ocean Grove: Parking Committee Recommends Some Meters

  By BONNIE GRAHAM The Parking Committee of the Ocean Grove Homeowners Association has recommended ways to alleviate the parking situation in the historic district which include metered parking along the east side of Ocean Avenue and on Broadway between Ocean and Central Avenues, a shuttle service from one of the Neptune schools and establshing a three-hour parking limit in the central business district between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. All the members of the committee live in Ocean Grove and spent many hours over the last several months putting together the recommendations. North End Building Gets OK for Repairs

By BONNIE GRAHAM At the most recent Ocean Grove Homeowners Association meeting residents were informed that the Historic Preservation Commission has approved the application for 4 Boardwalk – the North End Building. The approved plan includes a separate, enclosed dining terrace with permanent windows that will not have air conditioning.  At this time, they are going forward with repairing the building. New Operating Officer at Ocean Grove Camp Meeting

  By BONNIE GRAHAM Ocean Grove residents and homeowners were introduced to the new operating officer of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association at a meeting Sat., Jan. 25. J.P. Gradone, who assumed the post of Camp Meeting Association Chief Operating Officer on Nov. 5, told homeowners he grew up in Wanamassa and is a 1976 graduate of Ocean Township High School. He met his wife, Cheryl, while attending college and worked for 23 years in corporate positions in Florida and Kentucky.
