Neptune City Hires 2 Police Officers

  NEPTUNE CITY – Neptune City welcomes two new police officers this week at the Borough Council meeting. Nicholas Morgan and Ryan Jackson were both sworn in by Mayor Robert Brown in front of a room full of friends, family, and the current Neptune City police force. Jackson is a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and Rowan University earning a bachelors degree in Law and Justice. He was with the Point Pleasant Beach police department in the summer of 2012 enforcing traffic laws and parking violations before graduating from the Monmouth County Police Academy in May of 2013. Neptune City Dedicates Monument to Fallen Soldiers

  By MICHAEL ROGERS NEPTUNE CITY – Neptune City dedicated a new fallen soldier memorial this week during a ceremony Mon., May 27 to remember those men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Neptune City Police Promoted

  By MICHAEL ROGERS NEPTUNE CITY – Three Neptune City police officers were promoted this week at the Borough Council meeting. The three were Matthew Quagliato, Bradley Hindes and Michael Kepler. Quagliato was promoted to lieutenant on the force. Hindes and Kepler were promoted to sergeant. Kepler’s nephew, Sean Robert Kepler, said he was proud of his uncle. “It’s exciting to see and I want to become a policeman someday when I grow up,” he said. Parade Grand Marshall Named in Bradley Beach

  By MICHAEL ROGERS BRADLEY BEACH – George Bachar, a former Bradley Beach Borough Councilman, will be this year’s grand marshall of the Bradley Beach Memorial Day Parade. He is currently a member of the Board of Adjustment. Neptune City Prohibiting Smoking at Parks, Playgrounds

  BY MICHAEL ROGERS NEPTUNE CITY – Neptune City officials have approved a measure prohibiting smoking in parks and playgrounds. Under the measure smoking will be permitted in designated smoking areas and the penalty for violation of of this ordinance will be $25. In other business, Borough Councilman Rick Pryor said on June 3 the fire company will hold its annual golf outing. Participation costs $150 and people can sign up at the borough hall.
