ASBURY PARK – The Provincetown Fringe Festival in Asbury Park presents An Evening of Entertainment Extravaganza to benefit the grassroots effort to spay, neuter, feed and find homes for the Asbury Park/Ocean Grove beach kittens.
The event takes place Saturday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the Stephen Crane House, 508 Fourth Ave., Asbury Park. Tickets are $5 which includes refreshments. Reservations: 732-807-4052.
Marjorie Conn will perform an obscure monologue by Clifford Odets written around 1935. Lisa Banwell is debuting “The Volunteer, or Peter Principle at Your Service,” a short comedy about rising to the highest level of one’s incompetence.
Anonymous is an avant guarde chamber music group with tuba and vocals featuring John Buckingham and Amy Sheffer.
“Catcalls,” with Christine Emmert is a collection of sayings and stories about cats. Rosemary Wright and company (Liz Copeland, Ingrid Heldt, John Wolf, Nancy Paone, Karen Schoenebeck, Susan Matson.) is presenting “The Red Lion,” a musical extravaganza based on a traditional Persian folktale. Amanda Porter and Ingrid Heldt will be singing. Seating is limited so make your reservations soon.
