Historical Society Holding Memorial Day Weekend Auction

OCEAN GROVE – The Historical Society of Ocean Grove continues its 2013 season of special fund-raising events with the popular Memorial Day Weekend Auction on Sat., May 25 at the Young People’s Temple in Ocean Grove. Preview 9 a.m. and auction at 11 a.m.

The 17th Annual Auction will feature collectible and antique dolls, baseball collectibles – many signed, Roseville including large Corinthian Jardinière and Pedestal, Cherry Blossom and Jonquil pieces, Vintage pictures and nuttings, Lenox, glassware, linens, marble top table, old teddy bears, dollhouses and antique clocks.

Other items include: toys, textiles, children’s items, tobacco silks, postcards & stereoviews, antique & vintage furniture and box lots of ephemera.

As in the past, there will also be a wide array of Ocean Grove, Asbury Park and Shore area memorabilia including early souvenir china, ruby flash glass, sterling spoons, pennants and rare ephemera. Many items on display in the HSOG window.

The next auction will be held Labor Day weekend, Fri., August 30. If anyone has items to consign or donate contact the historical society simply let them know.

The Ocean Grove Young People’s Temple is located at 22 Pilgrim Pathway and the corner of McClintock Street across from the Great Auditorium.

Absentee bids are accepted. Buyer’s Premium 12 percent. A complete Auction list, with descriptions, is available for $3. Refreshments are available.
