BRADLEY BEACH – George Bachar, a former Bradley Beach Borough Councilman, will be this year’s grand marshall of the Bradley Beach Memorial Day Parade.
He is currently a member of the Board of Adjustment. He said he is very excited about being named grand marshall.
“I am truly honored and humbled to be selected for this and to follow the great group of marshalls in the past,” he said. “I am totally thrilled at this opportunity.”
This year’s events will be held May 25 through 27. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. May 25 along Ocean Avenue. The weekend of events will end on Monday with a service that starts at 10 a.m. at Riley Park to honor all veterans.
The Bradley Beach boardwalk is ready and will be open starting on Saturday with more than 200 merchandise and food vendors. There will also be kiddie rides and kids participation games with prizes for everyone. There will also be a grand opening of the “Ship Wrecked” miniature golf course that will officially open at 11:30 a.m. May 25 There will also be live entertainment all day on both days including live music and other perfrormances.
