Robert Visconi, NYC – Absolutely. A man’s private life is indicative of how he conducts himself. As for Weiner – out, out, goodbye. I can’t believe he’s still in the race. He should be long gone. His divorce is next. It’s a mess.
Max LaCroix & Angelo Chinnici, Asbury Park – Absolutely. You lead by example. What Mr. Weiner should do in New York City is take a good long hard look at his past ‘frivolities’ and make his own decision as to whether or not he considers himself to be a role model or a sex symbol.
Diane Cuccurullo, Ocean Grove – I think where what he does privately becomes public, it’s no longer private. I definitely think it’s a distraction. I think Weiner should drop out. It’s at the point of being ridiculous. You can’t believe anything he says. He’s not focusing on the issues.
John & Carla Ercole, Asbury Park – We don’t think so. Whatever he or she does at home is their business. As long as the job gets done and there’s no interference, it’s ok with us. Americans are too focused on behavior in private lives; too uptight. How do we know Anthony Weiner’s wife didn’t join in on the fun? Maybe she knew, approved and participated. As long as the public isn’t cheated who cares?
Bob Hampson, Ocean Grove – It’s part of the overall picture, but you shouldn’t just look at that. I don’t know too much about Weiner. I’ve just seen the headlines.
Stephanie Hunnell, Asbury Park – Yes, I absolutely would. You can’t really ignore those aspects of people’s lives. It says a lot about them as a person …As for Anthony Weiner, all I read about are his antics.
Wendy May, Bradley Beach – Absolutely. Because there is no separation of responsibility. There is no such thing. You have ‘A’ life. So whatever you do in your private life affects your public. Actions are actions. Reaction are reactions. A voter should know the person and what the person stands for. I would never vote for Anthony Weiner. And I’ll give you three good reasons: Trust, honor and respect. He has none of the above.
Luis Merced, Jersey City & Urselena Willams, Old Bridge -Yes to a certain extent. It shows a little bit about their character and that would relate to their actions in office. Neither one of us would vote for Anthony Weiner. This is his second or third time in this situation. Apparently he hasn’t learned his lesson.
Haley Sims, The Kissing Booth, Asbury Park – I really don’t care about his private life. His personal life is none of my business. As for Anthony Weiner, I think he’s just a horny guy.
