John Trout, Neptune City – I think it’s a big joke.
I don’t like Obamacare but to totally shut the government down because of it – i don’t like that either.
To force people to get insurance is just another tax to me.
But I don’t like what the Republicans are doing either.
The Tea Party had a lot of good ideas when they first started.
But they let groups in that never should have ben allowed in. It went in a different direction.
It’s a shame because this country needs a third party. The Republicans and Democrats aren’t getting it done.
Nobody happy with what’s going on
Cathy Anthony, West Long Branch – I have no problem with the people who were furloughed getting back pay.
They need the money. They have to pay their bills. I don’t think Congress should be getting paid because they’re not doing their job.
Kris & Danielle Daly, Neptune – Danielle: We have to work together. Nothing gets done without compromise.
It just doesn’t effect the people furloughed, it has a ripple effect in every community.
Kris: The politicians suck. The more and more you work, the less money you have.

Not fair to those who need help.

He’s blaming the Republican party for not funding a program that there is no money for.
The Republicans party is blame for everything that doesn’t get done.
And the press backs him 100%.
NiQui: I like the way the first lady dresses.
Cheryle: Congress shouldn’t get paid either.
Kevin Higgins & Kristen Zdanowicz, Lake Como – We think it is a by product of partisan politics and there are way to many people out of work.
Kristen’s sister-in-law is out of work. No income and she doesn’t know when she’s going back to work.
The perfect example is the Capital police who are not getting paid and risking their lives on a daily bases.
They need to come to an agreement.
Alexander & Gladys Laverde w/Kitty, Bradley Liquors – Let’s stop bickering and do what we sent you there to do – your job.
It’s funny how they get the cheese and we don’t.
Stop nit picking over the small issues and focus on our country.
John Loffredo, Asbury Park – It’s ridiculous. There’s no reason for this.
I’d like to know what they think they’re accomplishing – all of them.
And in the end, who benefits?
Darci Lombardo, Wayside – I think they’re acting like a bunch of first graders, who can’t seem to get along on the playground.
The ripple effect is so shocking.
Everything is affected by this shutdown.
Everybody now is affected. Then I worry about the animals.
What’s the first thing people cut when they can’t make ends meet?
Rob McGillin, Neptune City – With the way our economy is today, it was very poor timing.
They’re acting in a selfish manner.
How about we stop the bickering and get down to it so we can get our country back on track.

It’s time for a governmental reevaluation.
It’s not fair to the employees of all people it’s affected.

I think they just want to humiliate Obama every chance they get, and they don’t care who it hurts.
Obamacare was voted on and passed. The Supreme Court said it was legal.
He ran again and won. The Tea Party people are sore losers.
Lester Patterson, Oakhurst – First of all, they have to resolve it as quickly as possible.
Both sides act like a bunch of kids. All they are doing is hurting everyone else in the economy.
We can help every other country, but we can’t help ourselves.
