Donald & Lynn Waddell, Shark River Hills – Lynn: No. I don’ think he’s up on world affairs enough.
I think he’s a great governor and he should stay in Trenton.
Donald: I think he should run for president.
I think this country needs a no nonsense leader to take charge.
And, I think he’s a no nonsense leader.
Lydia Cimino, Ocean Grove -Yes I do think he should run.
Definitely, most definitely.
I just love the guy.
He tells it plain. He seems like an honest politician who works with both parties.
I’m a big fan.
Brian Finn & Elizabeth McGlone, Ocean – We think he should run for president. We think he draws voters from both sides with his no-nonsense tactics.
It’s called Jersey style.
With Sandy, it put him on the map from a national perspective.
F. Jones, Asbury Park – Hell no! He’s not doing a great job as governor, why should he run for president?
He chased away a basketball team. What more harm can he do.
Remember the New Jersey Nets? They moved to Brooklyn.
Hell, anybody but not Christie.
We had enough jackasses run for president.
Don’t add him to the list.
Judy Lavender, Ocean Grove Bakery – I think he should run for president.
He’s doing a good job as governor.
He’s a stand-up guy. He doesn’t take any nonsense.
He puts his foot down.
He means business. I think he’d make a good president.
Angela Lechner, Neptune – I’m a former teacher, and yes I like him.
I would vote for him for president.
I think he’s an independent thinker.
I like that part of him.
He’s not looking to make everyone his friend.
At least that’s the impression I get.
By the way, I live at Seabrook Village and it’s a wonderful place. It’s the best decision we ever made.
Nicole Mattina & Gary Peluso, Asbury Park – We think he should. He isn’t as wrapped up with the very far right.
He can appeal to the independents and the Democrats who aren’t happy with the current administration.
He also shows willingness to work with the opposite party.
Jamie Roberts, Asbury Park – There’s going to be a time when the country will be ready for him to run.
Hope and change turned into divide and conquer.
Where people on both sides are ready for the center, it will be his time.
I’m not sure it’s now.
Matt Ruggiero & Susan Macher, Ocean Grove – Yes. We need a leader that can drive results and has a backbone. We don’t need a great speaker with nothing behind him.
We need one united government, working for all of us.
Maryann Russo, Deal – I think Christie definitely should run for president.
I didn’t vote for him the first time, but I like everything he did while he was in office and I voted for him the second time.
And I’m a staunch Democrat, believe me.
Steve Shealaynosun, Neptune – I do not think he should run for president. I think he should finish what he started in NJ. He needs to address property taxes.
We have to find a way to fund schools other than thru property taxes.
I don’t think he’s experienced enough to handle the issues facing our country at this time.
He started to fix the problems in NJ, like pension reform. But he’s failed to take on the elephant in the room, which is property taxes.
Ian Singer w/Eddie & Kyle, Toms River – I’m an independent, and, yes, we need change. Something needs to change and he has the ability to see things through. Whether you agree or not, he can get things accomplished.
He can get them over the finish line.
I don’t agree with everything he does, but at least things are getting done.
The federal government is just a big log jam.
