What are your plans for the summer?

Michael West, Diane West, Luke La Corte & Linda La Corte, Ocean – Michael: Golfing at Colonial Terrace and Deal Country Club. Surfing at the Allenhurst beach. Diane: Sitting on the beach in Allenhurst. That’s all I want to do. Luke: Surfing in Allenhurst, Golfing, too. Linda: Learning how to play golf at the Deal Country Club and planning my daughter’s wedding. She’s getting married next June.

Diandra Rodrigues & Makaela Andes, Ocean – We’ll be going to the beach in Asbury. We both work. Diandra works at Scoops ice Cream in Ocean. Makaela works at Sirena Restaurant in Pier Village. This is our last summer before we go away to college. We’re both going to the University of Delaware.

Matt & Jim Mumma-Berman w/Owen, Asbury Park – We will spend the summer here in Asbury Park. Owen’s going to Seashore Day Camp in Long Branch. In August we’re going to Spain for two weeks. We like the relaxed, easy way of life here at the shore.

Nicole Daley, Wall & Billy Preston, Neptune – Nicole: I work at D.J.’s in Belmar. It’s very busy and I’ll be there a lot. I’m a workaholic. I like work. Billy. All summer I’ll be working in NYC. I’ll be skateboarding in New York. I work in the restaurant supply business. I’ll be working, skating and partying.

Dan Sizelone & Holly Duncan, Asbury Park – We moved to Asbury 2 years ago, and we love it here. There’s definitely a lot to do, shops, restaurants. In the summertime there’s a farmer’s market. There’s always something to do.

Casanya Durden, Neptune – Working at East Coast Cookery most of the time. But I will be going to Miami this summer as well. Anytime I’m off I head to the beach in Belmar. I’ll make a few trips to Great Adventure.

Deborah & Jack Fannan, Asbury Park – To stay home here in Asbury Park and enjoy every inch of it, as much as possible. Maybe in the middle of the summer we’ll go to Bethany Beach in Delaware, but we can’t stay away from Asbury too long. We have “AW Syndrome” – Asbury withdrawal.

Charly Luther, Manasquan & Josie Borghoff, Stowe. Vt. – Charly: I’m going swimming at the beach and hanging out with my friends. I’m going to camp, too. Josie: I’m going to camp and hanging out with friends. I’ll be saying goodbye to my friends in Vermont because I’m moving back to Manasquan.

Patrick Rorke, Asbury Park & Ann Forster, NYC – Patrick: I’m going to spend the summer, on weekends, working on my house in Asbury with friends and family. I’ll be on the beach, grilling and chilling. Ann: I’ll be visiting with friends and family the beach on East Hampton. And I’ll be taking watercolor painting classes at the Art Barge in East Hampton.

TAKA & Bill Kessler, Asbury Park – Our major focus is opening the new TAKA on Cookman Ave. We hope to open before TAKA’s pills run out.

Chris & Cindy Vellinga, Neptune – Chris will be 50. A big party is planned. He works for Pepsi, so the summer is a busy time. Both will spend the summer relaxing by the pool, whenever possible.

Florence Annan & Pat Walter, Bradley Beach – Florence: I’ll be taking care of Pat, walking on the boardwalk in Bradley Beach. Going for ice cream and going shopping. Pat: Hopefully my legs are improving. I’ll be walking on the boards with Florence and entertaining all the relatives who visit.
