This week THE COASTER asked, “How was the start of your school year?” – and the consensus was that the future looks bright for these outstanding students:
Jenna & Noah Spitzer, Long Branch – It was good for both of us. We saw our old friends and our teachers are really nice. We both like school. It’s going to be a good year for us.
Victor Andrade, Ocean – It was good, I got to play with my friends at recess. I’m in second grade. It’s going to be a good year because my teacher is really nice – Mrs. Buck.
J.J. Atkins & Ra’Zhon, McNeil – J.J.: We learned the times tables and multiplication. After school we had a party. Ra’Zhon: I walked to school. We learned and at the end of the day we had a party for one of the girls. It was her birthday.
Ethan Brandimarte, Ocean – I just started Ocean Junior High, the fifth grade. It was fun, but not the best. The lunch was good. My locker is next to Emily’s.
Ethan DeFonseka, Wayside – It was good. I got my second grade teacher again, Miss McConville. It was good to see her again. She taught us all the rules. I think I’m going to have a good year.
Elizabeth Ellis, Oakhurst – It was fun being able to see all your friends again. I think it’s going to be a good year, because all my teachers are very motivational. I go to Ocean Twp. Intermediate.
Brian & Ellen Gibbons w/Maeve & Brian, W., Allenhurst – Maeve: It’s really fun and exciting. I love my teacher, Mrs. Francisco. Brian: My teachers are really nice. I just started at the Ocean Middle School. I expect to have a good year and one last day at the beach.
Manny Hernandez & Norma Quinunez, Neptune – Norma: It was ok. I was late both days so far. I’m looking forward to graduation. Manny: Good. It went by fast. I’m a sophomore at Neptune High. It’s a good school.
Chase Kopacko, Oakhurst – Chase just started pre-school. He has friends. He’s learning his vowels.
Owen & Ben of Asbury Park – Owen: I’m in the second grade. We had a snow ball fight with paper balls. There were notes written in the inside. That was the best day ever. Ben goes to pre-school, he learned about letters and numbers. And he learned about a train.
Lucas & Logan Renvoize, Wayside – Logan went to Ivy Hedge. I just like it. My favorite time is art class. Lucas: I love school. I have Mrs. Velba in the first grade. I love sports – gym class.
