This week THE COASTER asked, “How was the start of your school year?” – and the consensus was that the future looks bright for these outstanding students:

Jenna & Noah Spitzer, Long Branch - It was good for both of us. We saw our old friends and our teachers are really nice. We both like school. It’s going to be a good year for us.

Victor Andrade, Ocean - It was good, I got to play with my friends at recess. I’m in second grade. It’s going to be a good year because my teacher is really nice - Mrs. Buck.

J.J. Atkins & Ra’Zhon, McNeil - J.J.: We learned the times tables and multiplication. After school we had a party. Ra’Zhon: I walked to school. We learned and at the end of the day we had a party for one of the girls. It was her birthday.

Ethan Brandimarte, Ocean - I just started Ocean Junior High, the fifth grade. It was fun, but not the best. The lunch was good. My locker is next to Emily’s.

Ethan DeFonseka, Wayside - It was good. I got my second grade teacher again, Miss McConville. It was good to see her again. She taught us all the rules. I think I’m going to have a good year.
