Darth Vadar, Planet Alderon - Some of the players seem to have gone to the dark side. He has to use the force to get them to clean up their acts.

Nick Bergan, Keyport - No, I don’t think he should resign. He’s not the best commissioner the NFL ever had, but he's not the worst. Plus, I just like to watch the games. I don’t get involved in politics.

Jerry Carannante, Cracker Barrel - No, I don’t think he should resign. He’s doing his job. Hopefully he won’t have anymore to deal with.

Almando Cordero, Beckman’s - Roger Goodell should not resign. He’s doing the best he can in a complicated situation. He should have told the truth in the beginning about the tape, but he shouldn’t resign. It’s like Barack Obama being blamed for every little thing. That’s what happens when you’re in charge.

Mike Donatoni, Belmar & Marcell Del Corpo, Toms River - We agree that he shouldn’t resign. We all know that when you are the top dog, you pay people to do certain things. He didn’t beat his wife, he didn’t do anything wrong. People like drama and just jump on things. It’s not about the game it’s about someone’s personal life.

Dave Duncan, Asbury Park - I think Roger Goodell has nothing to do with the private affairs of Ray Rice. He didn’t do anything. If you don’t like what’s happening, don’t go to the games. That way you can take it out on the league, but the league didn’t do anything. I don’t watch football, but I believe in human rights.

Donna Esposito, Long Branch & Denise Lemmon, Bradley Beach - We say no, he shouldn’t be forced to resign. It wasn’t handled properly from the start. It’s the same old, same old, with the cover-up, but he shouldn’t lose his job for it. Michael Vick is still playing, and look at what he did with the dogs. Because they’re celebrities it’s blown out of proportion. It happens everyday.

Wanda Kinard w/Mya Fisher, Neptune - If they find out that he withheld information, then he should resign. There’s no reason for a man to put his hands on a women or a child. Losing some of his sponserships and a lot of fans is not good for football. And we’re big football people. It’s sad.

Marion Lynch, Wanamassa - Yes, he should. Absolutely, they have to set an example that they’re going to change football. You see all the horror stories that came out about football lately, with Penn State and the pros, it’s time to change the image.

Christine Mizrahi, Belmar - I think Ray Rice should not only be suspended from playing football, but he should be in jail. He needs therapy. His wife needs therapy for marrying him.

Nick Moore, Neptune - There’s no reason for him to resign. He admitted he mishandled the situation. If we all got fired for mishandling a situation, there would be a lot of unemployment. He makes money for the owners and they’re standing by him. That’s the bottom line.

Poncho D., Neptune - Here’s the thing, he’s the commissioner, not a babysitter. He can’t control what goes on behind closed doors. If he should resign for that, Christie should resign for Bridgegate. As for the child getting hit with a switch, in my time we were sent to get the switch. It wasn’t about child endangerment, it was about discipline. Should he resign - no. And those bandwagon jumpers - it’s getting out of hand.

Steve Rubenstein, Ocean - I want to remain neutral on that one. I’m just glad Michael Vick is no longer playing for the Eagles. (Over the dog incident). I think he should be in jail. I stopped watching football for 3 years because of that. Rand Paul 2016!
