William Walker, Asbury Park - Down, I thought he’d do better with the Sandy Storm. He took care of the beachfront, but people are still out of their houses with nowhere to go.

Charlie Bondhus, Asbury Park - I really do not like Christie at all. I didn’t like him in the beginning and I like him even less now. I’m a teacher and I think he’s been really awful to public education. He’s anti-teacher. And I think his public persona is unprofessional.

Rose Bremmer, Trax Hair & Nail - I’d say it went up after Sandy, but now I’d say down. - I think he did a good job with Sandy, but now I think he’s becoming a little cocky. And maybe a little corrupt.

Eric Coppolino, Asbury Park - Governor Christie is an embarrassment. He’s transparently a criminal and I can’t believe anyone takes him seriously. He will not be president. He will not be a candidate. He will be stopped by traffic problems in Fort Lee.

Ed Davidoski & Susan Whitehead, Bradley Beach - We think he did well with Hurricane Sandy when it first happened. Ed is a teacher and we don’t like the way he’s treated the teacher’s union. Personally we wouldn’t mind having a beer with him, so it’s going to be a tough call if he runs for president. It will be interesting to see who the Democrats put up.

Tom DeSeno, Howell - It went down, along with his weight. It went down because his bad temper went up.

Irene & Jeff Gilman, Oakhurst - Irene: My opinion was never high to begin with. I feel he is a very poor role model in the state. As a teacher, we try to quell bullying and here is someone in a very high profile position showing the very behavior we are trying to eliminate. Jeff: My opinion has gone down, especially in the past two weeks. He has a personality problem; anger management problem. It’s not a style, it’s a flaw. How he got to be governor amazes me.

Christina Grossi, Bradley Beach - I think he’s on the down. I think he’s doing the best he can as far as Sandy, but as far as school programs and human rights issues, I think he’s lacking. So, my opinion has gone down a little.

Mario Marino, Ocean - I haven’t paid much attention. I haven’t had time really. But I feel he’s done a pretty good job since he’s been in office. He’s tried hard and, in New Jersey, that’s a tough job to do. I like him. I met him personally. I thought he was a nice fella.

Ryan Green-Mobley, Neptune - I feel like he’s on the up. He’s doing pretty good. I feel he’s doing the best he can after Hurricane Sandy. He put a lot of people back in their homes.

Susan Niven, Dean’s - I’m neutral. I like what he did with the Ebola issue when that nurse came into the state. It was that gutsy New Jersey side that came out. That’s New Jersey - no nonsense. I appreciate leadership. I don’t look at him any better or worse. I’m neutral and waiting to see how he handles himself before the 2016 election.

Josh Pigman, Avon - Up. I just think he’s actually real. He speaks his mind. He doesn’t hold back. I like his style.
