The IHOP restaurant on Route 66 in Neptune will be offering free lunches after its regular business hours on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.
When the International House of Pancakes restaurant at 2200 Route 66 closes for business for the day at 2 p.m., it will be open for two hours serving the hot lunches, said owner Rakesh “Rick” Kumar, who bought the restaurant in March.
“I can be part of the community,” Kumar said. “People can come and see us. I just want to be able to help.
Kumar, who has been in the restaurant business, is maintaining a Thanksgiving tradition of his.
“I always do something for Thanksgiving,” Kumar said.
IHOP is at the Neptune Shopping Plaza, where the ShopRite supermarket and Marshalls department store are also located.
