The Neptune Aquatic Center 206 Aquatic Adventures Camp, designed for swimmers ages 8-14, will run Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in July.

The camp will consist of two days per week at the Neptune Aquatic Center and one trip per week for different aquatic activities. Trips will include sailing kayaking, rowing, water parks, Manasquan Reservoir exploration, Adventure Aquarium and Surfing with Family Beach day.

On Monday and Wednesday camp days, students will receive a one-hour swimming lesson and two hours of additional aquatic instruction such as junior guard skills, pool-based SCUBA diving, kayaking, log rolling and other activities. Open swim time and outside activities will also take place on the Monday and Wednesday Camp Days.

The pricing is $425 per child for a seven-week program or $85 per week. There is an additional fee of $35 per trip.

The camp will run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Neptune Aquatic Center. Trips will be run on Thursdays and may be afternoon trips/longer days.

Last summer, the Neptune Aquatic Center launched an Aquatic Adventure Camp for students ages 8-14.

“The three-day per week program provided students with a chance to improve their swimming proficiency while learning about aquatic adventure activities such as SCUBA diving, kayaking, log rolling and Junior Lifeguard techniques” said Sara Palumbo, aquatics director of the Neptune Aquatic Center. The students also traveled to learn to sail, row, stand up paddle board and even surf.

“The camp was so successful that this summer we have increased it from a four-week to a seven-week camp with additional trips to learn about the Manasquan Reservoir’s ecosystem, a trip to Sahara Sam’s Waterpark and even a trip on a Pirate Ship. The camp counselors are all certified lifeguards and WSI instructors and they work with the students to improve their skills and confidence on the water while they learn about all that Monmouth and Ocean counties have to offer during the summertime.”

Registration has begun. Spots are limited. For more information, go to www.neptuneschools.org.
